Welcome to LeAD and CReW!
The programs LeAD (LEadership & Academic Development) and CReW (College REadiness Workshops) were designed to provide middle and high school students from the surrounding USC Health Science and University Park Campus communities with the appropriate tools to achieve their educational and career goals. With the support from graduate students, faculty, and professional tutors they will be provided with educational instruction and resources, leadership development, and life skills to help them navigate through academic challenges, in order to thrive from Middle school and beyond. The goal of LeAD and CReW is to prepare each student to be well-equipped for success throughout their academic and professional aspirations.
Over the course of 10 sessions, students will be coached and mentored to help them navigate through a series of educational and professional workshops, improve educational outcomes through tutoring, and acquire soft skills to adapt to their surroundings. Each session will begin with a 30-minute workshop on a specific topic such as stress management, organizational skills, and resume building with a panel of graduate students and faculty. For the remainder of the session, students will break out to their appropriate groups for tutoring sessions based on age. LeAD High School, LeAD Middle School, and CReW for SAT prep testing for students that are in their junior year (11th grade) of high school.
