Is USC accepting virtual shadowing?

USC is currently accepting virtual shadowing but NOT shadowing hours via Instagram or YouTube. The current recommended shadowing hours is 20 hours with a PA-C.

No credit will be given for shadowing MDs or NPs.

Does COVID volunteering (COVID swab and vaccine administration) count as Paid clinical experience (PCE) hours?

USC is currently accepting COVID swabbing and vaccine administration as PCE hours

IS USC accepting pass/no pass courses as Prerequisite credit?

USC will be accepting Pass/No Pass credit for prerequisite courses from the Spring 2020, Summer 2020, Fall 2020, and Spring 2021. All completed prerequisites must have a "passing" grade. Since this is a fluid situation, there may be an adjustment as more information is received. Courses taken for pass/no pass will not hinder and/or increase GPA. Is USC accepting online labs as credit for prerequisite courses?

Yes, USC has always accepted online lab credits.

Will USC be requiring the GRE?

For the 2020-2021 CASPA application cycle, USC will not be requiring the GRE.

A decision is still to be made regarding the 2021-2022 application cycle.

Will USC be requiring the PA-CAT

Presently, USC does not have any plans of adopting the PA-CAT requirement.

Will USC be hosting their interviews in-person or virtually?

USC will be hosting the application interviews for the 2020-2021 cycle virtually.
